Hello there! I hope you're all doing well.
I wanted to check if it’s possible to upgrade the RAM on my HP Pavilion 14-dv0054TU laptop to 32GB. The device is currently equipped with 16GB of RAM and has an Intel Core i5 processor. I'm interested in expanding the memory if the hardware supports it.
Could you please confirm whether this upgrade is feasible? Additionally, I’d appreciate your help in identifying compatible RAM options and sharing links to where I can purchase them.
Thank you so much!

Hi:
I can't find a service manual for your notebook's model series.
Run this command to see if 32 GB of memory would be supported in your notebook:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Hi Paul,
After entering the command wmic memphysical get MaxCapacityEx, I received the following result:
MaxCapacityEx
33554432
Based on this output, I’m assuming that my laptop supports a maximum RAM capacity of 32GB.
I would appreciate it if you could recommend a compatible RAM model for this upgrade and suggest where I can purchase it online in India.

Yes, the report indicates your PC should be able to support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
Two if these chips should work since Crucial indicates they are compatible with your notebook:
