Really? Totally forgiven? Wow thanks. And yes I am sure there is a whole bunch HP could do better than it does. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Hmmm... so much for a pleasant or conversational discussion.

This is the adapter originally provided with the laptop:

45-W 741553-850

HP Parts Store Canada sells it for 33.47 CAD.

You could use a 90W adapter assuming it is the same voltage and connector, but its a larger brick to carry around.

Battery
4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919701-850
3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery 919700-850
919700-851

Amazon Canada has a wide selection of batteries under any of the above 3 part numbers.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

You can search the parts store for the above numbers if you wish. Battery is external clip-in and you can use 3 ceel or 4 cell.

HP offers replacement batteries only for a relatively short time after a model run is complete. HP does not really make any money selling replacement batteries and that is not the brand it is trying to promote I guess. They sell new computers.

But there is a very robust and reliable aftermarket for genuine HP batteries and generic 3rd party batteries.
