Its original battery is 3-cell lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), 2.8Ah, 31Wh part # 746641-001. You can also use 4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery part # 740715-001.
The second one "lives" longer between charge (around 25%) and more expensive.
