Hello!

I am not sure if I posted this in the correct category and I'm sorry if I haven't. I went at my parents home for a month or two and I was so in a hurry that I forgot my wall to adapter power cord at home. My question is, if I buy a third-party one from a store, can it harm my laptop in any way? Does the wall to adaptor cord need to have some special specifications to it or it just has to fit into the adaptor?

Power cords come in standard configurations.  So, if it just cable, any power conversion is done by the charger, not the cord.

So, any cord that fits the wall outlet and your charger, will work.  But be sure the charger end of the cord is correct -- as some chargers take 2-prong cords, others take 3-prong cords.
