I have a HP Laptop 14s-er0002tu, 4gb ram, windows 10(64-bit). I decided to replace the 4gb ram with a 16gb ram because it is lagging a lot . My laptop ram can be upgraded upto 32gb and has ram manufactured by SK hynix. So , I wanna ask if I can use ram from any manufacturer like crucial i.e can I replace a 4gb SK hynix ram with a 16gb crucial ram. And also if anyone can tell me how to check the ram details to buy a relevant ram I would really appreciate that! .......

The memory is DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM which bridges or downclocks to -2666 speed. You need to get standard OEM memory, not gaming or performance like "Fury" or "Ripjaws".
See pages 26 and 27. There is only one slot. The Manual says 8 gb is the max but a 16 gig module will work. Something like this:

Sir, but I saw some videos in which the use of cmd was shown to get the maximum ram allowed, and when I tried the same it showed that form factor is 12 and the maximum ram allowed is 32gb but in the manual it is shown 8gb . What's with that??
And the speed of my current 4gb ram is 2666mhz and when I used task manager to get the number of slots it shown that there was only one slot .
Now accordingly can you suggest a SK hynix ram because my laptop has SK hynix ram and also please tell if I can use 16gb ram module .........

The Manual really does not speak to what's possible its just what HP offered from the factory. The cmd thing is pretty reliable and its possible you could actually use a single 32 gig module. I know for sure you can use a 16 gig module. The memory you need is -3200 but the motherboard runs it at -2666 so it will show as -2666 memory. You do not need to use SKHynix although it is good memory and if you can find it go ahead and use it. Options are not always very many on amazon in. Crucial memory is every bit as good as SK Hynix...Crucial is the brand name of Micron memory but they also sell memory branded as Micron....Timetec is made by SK Hynix specifically for sale by amazon and is very good memory often sold at a really good price.
