Hello! Almost a year ago my old HP computer hinges broke after I dropped it a few times, my grandmother decided to let me have her HP Flyer Red computer she bought. (I do not know the exact date of when she purchased it.) I close my screen a lot of times before the computer said there was an error after closing it a lot, so therefore I close it when Im done with it now. Last night before I went to bed, I was closing my computer and I started hearing a cracking noise, I then stopped and checked my computer, putting it back up and pressing on the hinges to make sure that they wasn't lose, and to me, they felt like they wasn't.
Today, I've closed it, and I heard nothing, so I don't know if it was becoming weak, or if I was hearing things, but it worries me, so my question today is: Can the hinges become weak?

Hi @Sidious223 ,
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
Hinges might get weaker, by regular usage of the computer.
If it is broken, I'd request you to contact HP's phone support team for further assistance.
HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Enter Product number or select to auto detect.Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options".
Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get a Case & phone number. They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty repair services under the manufacturer's warranty will be free of charge.
Please reply with the details for further assistance.
Eager to help! 😉
