HP Pavillion 15 W6Z09EA#ABD
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My notebook has the TE03XL battery built in. This battery shows 11.55 Volts

As my battery is dying I am looking for replacement, but the TE03 type seems unavailable everywhere.

Twice I already got a wrong delivery from dealers shipping the TE04XL instead. That is a 15.4 Volt type.

While the TE04XL would physically fit (same layout) I assume that I cannot use a battery with totally different voltage?
Or am I wrong and actually my notebook would work with the TE04XL? I do not dare to just give it a try.

My notebook is a HP Pavillion 15-BC001NG model, product number W6Z09EA#ABD, bought in year 2016

Thanks!
Florian

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c05177242

It uses  3-cell, 61.5 Wh Li-ion battery part # 849910-850.  You can also use 4-cell battery part #  905277-855. Please make sure you get the right parts

Hi @Banhien
thank you so much for your quick answer, this is highly appreciated!
However I am worried - is it really safe to replace the 11.55 V battery with the 15.4 V one? Won't this damage my system?

I have a 905277-855 on my table right now, a dealer sent it to me despite I ordered the 849910-850. I was about to send it back... Should I really dare to insert it?

Alternatively: do you know whether the notebook will run on main power with cable plugged in, when I completely remove the battery inside? I use the notebook on my table only, I don't need a battery mandatory...

Thank you so much for your patience!

Florian
