Before I begin, I just want to say that I'm very new to all of these things. I have to admit I'm not too tech savvy, so I apologize if I ask too many questions. I will try my best to describe things. Also, if I'm posting this question in the incorrect subject catergory, than I apologize, I will try to correct it.
Lately I've been thinking about ways I can boost the performance of my HP Notebook for gaming. I know I can't really Frankenstien it too much, since it is, of course, not meant to be a gaming laptop. But I remember hearing somewhere that you can connect a desktop tower to a laptop.
Is this true? If so, is it possible to do with my notebook? Would it be difficult to do? I want to see if there's something simple I can do to my laptop to boost its performance before settling on buying a gaming computer.
If someone can tell me whether it could work or not, or whether it's worth it, it'll be appreciated.
Best regards,
Sunny.

I am not sure how you envision connecting a laptop to a tower (and by that I assume you mean a desktop type computer) in order to enhance gaming. If the desktop is better than the laptop at gaming just use the desktop. In order to assess just how poorly your laptop will perform at games please tell us the full model or product number. Some laptops that are on the new side have the ability to connect a video card externally and connect an external monitor to that. So you use the laptop as the processor and storage for a gaming computer but the video work is done outside the laptop. This is only for a very few newer type computers and we would be able to tell if its possible for you once we know what kind of laptop it is.

The product number is 1BP97UA#ABA.
The computer name is LAPTOP-20BB4A1(I don't know if this is neccessary)
I suppose I thought the two devices could be connected via by some sort of cord, but after doing some extra research, I can see that can't be done.
I asked a friend about this subject, and they told me it would be easier to invest in getting a desktop computer, which I think I will do.
