I was wondering if I can add a TPM module to my laptop so Windows 11 will work?

Hi:

Unfortunately that would not be possible.

The TPM is an integral part of the motherboard, and motherboards either come with them or they don't.

On my Gigabyte desktop PC there is a 20 pin plug where a TPM module plugs in; (but none can be found to buy). S

o there isn't a auxiliary redundancy plug which makes it easy to add the TPM chip? HP would have a special motherboard made which has the TPM chip soldered in? It would seem that to have TPM  HP would make it simple and not have another unique build. I am just throwing out there that from an engineering standpoint when someone ordered a laptop that had a TPM security it would have been a simple upgrade (profitable).

You can take the notebook apart and check.

I am 99.9% sure that you won't find a plug to add a TPM.

I have never seen any HP notebook service manual that has a procedure to add a TPM, or a part number for one.
