I have a EliteBook 830 G5 and i wanted to ask can i charge it with a samsung 45w 20Volt usb-c charger

According to chapter 1, page 4 of the service manual, the notebook has a USB-C/Thunderbolt port which should support charging via a USB-C power adapter.

 

HP EliteBook 830 G5 Notebook PCHP EliteBook 836 G5 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Chapter 2, page 8 also confirms that.

 

HP offered two USB-C chargers for the model series...a 65W one and a 45W one.

 

See chapter 3, page 29.

 

According to this eBay listing the HP 45W charger (if you look at the picture when it is magnified) shows that it charges at 3 Amps/15 V and 2.25 Amps 20 V
