It has 2 memory slots. 1 slot populated with 16gb. Can i remove the memory and change it to 64 gb? Is there a maximum amount of memory. I figure that being gen 10 there might be a greater memory improvement since my previous Pavilion which i was told had a max mem of 32gb. I may try it anyway to see if it works. But please let me know if i will work cause the memory for 64gb = 2x32gb is expensive. I might try it anyway. But i would like to know HPs opinion or info from another user. Thank you in advance. I really appreciate it.

What is your Pavilion 15-cs3-xxx ? From Crucial, Pavilion 15-cs3073cl supports 2 x 32GB

Your machine could be the same. If you have money to burn, please try that. I know 23GB (z x 16GB) is OK.
64GB is huge. Windows is not so good. I know many big organizations that run systems with 64GB of RAM or much less but their systems support thousands of users and process millions of instructions a second.
Regards.

I ordered 2x32 = 64gb memory online last week. I got Mushkin brand on Amazon Prime $259.99. I put it in yesterday and it not only worked in my gen 10 pavilion but also worked in my 2 gen 8 pavilions, all W10 pro. My new gen10 model is actually 15-cs3075cl, prod#:7zz53uA#ABA also from Amazon.

Also, i have another problem i am trying to solve that i will post a new subject. Problem is that i used a different W10 pro from my old machine instead of the W10 pro that came with it. When i got the 2 W8 Pavilions, i simply got the drivers from HP over the internet. It was simple and i did not need to ask for help on this around 15 months ago. No problem. However, this time upgrading to W10 and gen 10, HP sent drivers that will not work with my version of W10 pro, according to the message i got when i tried to install the drivers. I paid a lot extra to get the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 4GB GDDR5 adapter inside this laptop. And i don't have drivers for it. I tried to call HP on phone and chat. No help at the low level India support. Or if i received the specifications on the NVidia adapter, i could get the drivers from Nvidia. I really want all the drivers in a usable way. I also can not use the installed windows 10pro the way it came because it uses GPT format and i use MBR format only. I use MBR for clone purposes because i need to make clone backups every week in case there is a crash. I want to thank Mr Banhein for his help as well but i already had received my 64Gb memory. It was a $259 gamble and it worked.
