Hi goodafternoon!

 

Can i update my Compaq Presario CQ40's bios from F. 43 to the lastest version?

 

Because i can't find any legitimate files to update it and plus i just finish upgrade my cpu from T4300 to T9500.

Hi:

 

Why do you need to update the BIOS?

 

If everything is working fine, I wouldn't do it.

 

Also the available BIOS updates were written to be run in Windows 7.

 

If you run the update in W10, you may permanently destroy your PC that you took so much trouble to just upgrade.

 

Here are the links to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook's model series...

Exe File:
