Hi, i have an hp probook 6450b laptop, with core i5 450m cpu, but i don't like it's performance, you know,
the system runs a little bit slow, other softwares are laggy,
so i was wondering if i could change my cpu to a higher one
my specs
-8gb ddr3 ram
-Intel core i5 450m 2.40 Gh
-Intel HD graphics
I dont know if any of that was helpful, but just incase.

Hi,
That's a decent setup you have got. 8GB of DDR3 memory is enough for a home computer and a 2.4GHz cpu is the same. You can upgrade the CPU but won't get too much performance on top of the old one. It sounds like the hard drive is getting slow after all those Service Packs and updates. I think the best option here is to get a SSD and install fresh Windows 7. That could be a significant upgrade and possibly the best one for speeding the system up.
