Hi:

 

Your only option to upgrade to a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Your only option to upgrade to a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

The dv6 notebooks with the Intel 2nd generation core processors like yours support 2 x 8 GB of DDR3 memory.

 

DDR4 memory runs at a different voltage, has a different number of contact pins and can't fit in your notebook's DDR3 memory slots.
