I want to upgrade the processor of my laptop. currently, my laptop has an Intel i3 7th gen processor and I want to upgrade it to i5 or i7.

Could you please tell me if I can upgrade the processor or not?

Hi:

 

Notebook processors have been an integral part of the motherboard for many years now.

 

Unfortunately, the only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

Generally, the cost of performing such an upgrade, assuming you can find the parts you need, would be very expensive and is usually not worth the time and monetary investment.
