Hi,

Yes.

The notebook will support max 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2x16GB) even if the service manual mentions 16GB.

There are two slots and at the moment you have one 8GB module, so you could add another 8GB module in the empty slot for a total of 16GB which should be enough.

Example:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-15-cs0061cl#MEMORYFilters

On page 56 of the service manual, you can see the steps to install the RAM

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06248419

You can add a super-fast M2 PCIe NVMe SSD to the notebook and keep the Hard Drive for storage. Something like the M2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus or similar of your desired capacity (no limit). You will need to transfer (or reinstall) Windows on the SSD. It will give an amazing boost to performance. It is always a good idea to check if the actual physical slot is present on the motherboard (sometimes it is missing in notebooks that did not come with M2 SSD)

Yes, that is the M2 slot and you already have a module of Intel Optane memory installed which acts as a cache to speed up the Hard Drive. So if you want to install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD you will need to remove the Optane (first you will need to disable in in Intel RST app).

You can see here in this document (at end of document)

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05591811

You can then install a super-fast M2 SSD.

Hope it helps,

David
