hello everyone i have a question regarding my laptop i was wondering how many RAM slots does it have as it is a bit slow when i try using Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 and i want to upgrade the RAM. i managed to find on the HP assistant a tab that says memory slot 1: 8GB  Samsung 2133MHz

so can i upgrade it for an extra 8GB or not??

In page 2 Computer models with model numbers 15m-bp0xx through 15-bp0xx:, it looks like you have 2-SODIMM slots

Page 35 for procedure if you are going to do it yourself.

i appreciate your help but one more thing, i found it saying the following

Two SODIMM memory module slots, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable DDR4-2133 dual channel support (DDR4-2400 downgrade to DDR4-2133) Supports up to 16-GB of system memory Supports the following conƭgurations ● 16384-MB (8192-MB × 2) ● 12288-MB (8192-MB + 4096-MB) ● 8192-MB (8192-MB × 1 or 4096-MB × 2) ● 4096-MB (4096-MB × 1)

 

and on my computer system it says it has slot 1: 8GB  Samsung 2133MHz 

so does that mean that there is another empty slot that i can put another 8GB of memory in??

yes, i had the same Envy with 7gen intel. It supports 2x8 gb ram. (theoretically the processor itself supports 2x16 gb, i'm unsure or the mainboard supports it.. The new envy x360 (15-cn1xxx) supports 2x16 GB without any problems)

Hi @Reaper8105203

 

Your PC supports 32GB of DDR4 2400Mhz RAM (2x16GB) even if service manual mentions 16GB

There are two slots. The RAM will run at 2133Mhz. You can buy from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Corsair...

On page 35 of the service manual, you can see the steps to upgrade RAM
