My notebook is almost eleven years old and isn't operating any e-sport games at a playable frame rate. So if possible i wanted to change my gpu/graphics card and ram to improve the performance in gaming.

Hi:
The GPU is an integral part of the motherboard. Only high end business-class mobile workstations have removable graphics cards.
The only way to upgrade the graphics would be to replace the system board with one listed in the service manual that may come with better graphics.
For memory upgrades, I would run the free crucial memory scan tool and see what it reports.

The product specs for your notebook indicates it can take 2 x 4 GB of memory.
