The Probook 440 G4 series has MANY models/products/configuration options. What does your machine have now ? The series has following options for storage
STORAGE AND DRIVES
HP ProBook 430 and 440 G4
Hard Drives Supports SATA, 7mm, 2.5" Hard Drives 500 GB - 7200 RPM Hard Drive
500 GB – SSHD (hybrid) (8 GB Cache)
1 TB - 5400 RPM Hard Drive
Mini Card Solid State Drive M.2 (NGFF) 2280 Solid State Drive
128 GB SATA-3 Value Solid State Drive
256 GB SATA-3 Value Solid State Drive
Normally we use M.2 for primary storage and HDD for secondary storage why you wish to make it as secondary storage.
Before going further, I need to know what does it have now.
Regards.

I dont sure model but my nb spec: I5 7gen, RAM 8 GB, 1TB 5400 RPM 2.5" 7mm
For "Normally we use M.2 for primary storage and HDD for secondary storage why you wish to make it as secondary storage."
I mean "I increase SSD M.2 without uninstall HDD"
Thanks.

Hi,
Now I know the storage configuration of your machine. SSD is faster that why we use SSD to store Windows and programs. You don't need larger (capacity SSD) 128GB and 256GB is enough to store Windows and plenty of programs.
From my previous reply, your machine supports SATA-3 Solid State Drive therefore do not use M.2 NVMe SSD. Now, please try the following steps (in this scenario, the M.2 SSD is 256GB):
(a) Resize C: on existing HDD to smaller than 256GB,
(b) Clone C: from HDD to SSD,
(c) Make your machine can boot from M.2 (check my note at the end),
(d) Remove HDD then install M.2 SSD,
(e) Install M.2 SSD,
When everything comes back as normal, format C: on HDD and install back to your computer.
Note: How to make machine boot from M.2 SSD. Please read Big_Dave method from the following link:
