HEY,
Iam currently using HP PAVILION 15 AU-114TX , I want to upgrade my pc performance by adding extra storage by SSD installation ,sp can i use both SSD and my older HDD at a same time installed on my laptop,
If i install SSD in place of HDD ,can i use HDD in place of CD -DRIVE...? please help me out...

Yes you can, you can replace HDD with SSD and move HDD to the ODD (Optical Disc Drive or CD drive) bay and run machine as dual storage.
But the good news is: you can add M.2 SATA 3 SSD to your machine, keep both HDD and ODD. Please do the following steps
(a) Buy compatible M.2 SSD such as

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-15-au114tx/CT11451123
(b) Clone old HDD to new SSD,
(c) Remove HDD and run with SSD for few days,
(d) When you are happy with new configuration, format old HDD and put it back for storage. No need to remove ODD.
