HP Envy 13-ad038TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought HP envy 13 which has 7th Gen i5, 256 SSD and 4 GB of RAM. I am wondering if it can be upgradable to 8GB of RAM. I didn't know whether it has additional slots or not.

If it is upgradable, I will contact with Local HP service center. Please advise.

@Kittra

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand you need information on upgrading the ram/memory on your device,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you check the maintenance & service guide? (Use this, if you haven't: http://hp.care/2pk4zb8 )

While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:

Support for LPDDR3-1866 dual channel

Supports up to 16-GB of system memory

Supports the following conƭgurations

Category Description

● 16384-MB (256-MB×32×4, 4 pieces, only on computer models equipped with an Intel i7 processor)

● 8192-MB (256-MB×16×4, 4 pieces, only on computer models equipped with an Intel i7 or i5 processor)

● 4096-MB (128-MB×32×2, 4 pieces, only on computer models equipped with an Intel i5 or i3 processor)

Check your processor and the RAM / Memory should be upgrade-able as mentioned above.

Use the maintenance guide on the link attached above.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
