Hi,
I'm loving my OMEN 16 and I like it both for productivity and for gaming.
I would like to be able to carry it around to university or work, without the hassle of having a gigantic brick in my backpack.
I was wondering if it could charge through the USB-C port on the side, since it has Thunderbolt 4 support, with power delivery (I know this doesn't necessarily mean it could be charged through it).
This way I'm able to carry a standard 60W USB-C laptop charger, to charge it while I'm away.
Plus, the cable on the charger it came with is rather short.
Of course, not expecting to charge instantly and not expecting to game on the laptop this way.
The back of the laptop says 19.5Vdc 200W.
Documentation doesn't say it's possible, nor does it say otherwise. Asking to be sure

Sorry no. The USB-C port is described like this in the official specs:
1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)
"Sleep and Charge" sounds like it means you can charge the laptop through that port but not so. It would have to be "Power Delivery" which yours is not. Almost always if the laptop can be charged by USB-C HP provides that type of AC adapter. Also you really do need a very powerful adapter to run the powerful processor and video card. 60W would not be enough to run the laptop even if you do not try to game on it.

Sorry if some time passed, I’m only getting to reply just now.
Thunderbolt 4 supports power delivery, so if no power delivery is present why does it have the thunderbolt symbol on the case? Even the listing says it’s USB4, which has power delivery.
Also, as I said, I don’t need to run or charge the laptop with 60W (which was an example, I could get a bit higher), but just prolong battery life while outside. When on battery I have the laptop on power saving at it lasts around 6-7 hours, so I could maybe extend it to 9-10 or more with this method. With my kind of usage (when not gaming), the GPU is hardly needed and the CPU has a 45W TDP if I’m not mistaken. This means that, with the power saving preset, I would be able to keep the laptop alive much longer with a standard usb c adapter.
