Hi

Well yes it can, HOWEVER as you have found out that particular memory module is no longer made and suppliers are out of stock.

Unfortunately I aint much help, and regret having to suggest the 'used' market for a match.

Yes, I see what you mean.

I ran a couple of searches, and couldn't find any either.

However, many forum members have upgraded their dv6/7t-6000/6100 Intel models with 2 x 8 GB of memory.

Also when you look at the service manual you referenced, it shows the 16 GB memory upgrade info in chapter 1 on page 6 for notebooks with the intel processors.

Just make sure if you get the memory, you buy memory with 8 little black chips on each side, not 4, and it has to be 1.5V, not 1.35V.

I see memory meeting those specs in the PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) speed, but they are not cheap.

Does this look like a good match?

Hi

Dare not say.

One change is that some modules are 1.35 volts and others 1.2  or 1.5 volts so that is a consideration.

Hi, @GoCallDave

Yes, that memory checks all of the boxes, and should work just fine in your notebook.

Very good price too.
