I was wondering if my laptop could use a 2666 mhz ram or does it have to be 2400 mhz?

You could install -2666 but it will run at -2400 speed. HP always provides memory that will run at the highest speed the motherboard can achieve for the memory. You cannot speed up memory by installing different modules. You can obviously add memory capacity at the same speed.

I was wondering if it would even be worth it getting 2 2666mhz. Thank you for the reply.
