Hello
I'm trying to find out if I can upgrade the processor on my HP Pavilion gaming laptop 17-cd0024na. All I can find is its called an 85FF version 43.34. When i look on HP website or the internet I can not find any information. I would even consider upgrading both the processor and motherboard if I had to.
Would appreciate any help thanks

Hi:
The processor your notebook has is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.

Intel hasn't made removable notebook processors in several years.

Thanks for your advice. I have looked there, My spec isnt listed, Mine is an I5 9300 with 8gb memory. So would I need to order part L58846 to get an I7 processor ? then upgrade my ram ? If so where do I buy the part ?

You're very welcome.
Yes, you would need to buy Intel Core i7-9750H processor and 6 GB of discrete graphics memory (GeForce GTX 1660 Ti) L58846-601, if that is the processor and graphics you want and a W10 operating system.
The part is not orderable from HP, so I have no idea where you can find one, but plan on probably paying more than you originally did for the entire notebook if you can find one.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
I have noticed that it is very hard to get parts for new model PC's and I have no idea why.
One would think the parts would be readily available at least for 2 - 3 years.
You could check back in a few months on that parts store website and see if they added any inventory.
It may be that the notebook is so new, that they haven't set up any inventory of spare parts for it yet.
