I'm trying to remove the base enclosure on my laptop to change the battery. I've removed all 14 screws from underneath the base and I've triple checked that there are no more. I went around and loosened all the clips, but I still cannot pull the cover off. This is one of those laptops that opens up and folds the opposite way as well so you can use it like a tablet. The area I'm getting the resistance is on those hinges, even though I've loosened the cover all around them. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong?

Did you take off the round rubber bumpers and remove the screws underneath? Sounds like you did if you removed 14 screws. Pay attention on p. 29. You flip it over and actually lift off the top cover. Hope this helps.
