Apparently I cannot activate the xmp feature via bios because there is no such option in bios. So I'm just requesting a bios update from HP that activates the XMP feature. That should not be that hard. Me and a lot of people who use this product have been waiting for a step in this issue for about a year, but there has been no improvement so far. We are using a gaming computer and it makes no sense that we cannot use this feature on a gaming computer. So I am asking, please take an action on this matter.
Thank you

If you insert RAM that runs at 3200MHz without XMP it will run at 3000MHz as you can see on page 2 of the service manual
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06638089.pdf
If you insert RAM which runs with XMP it will run at the base clock of that RAM
Example
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct16g4sfra32a/ct19116804
will run at 3000MHz
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/bl2k16g32c16s4b/ct19116781
will run at 2666MHz
Hope it helps,
David

Hi,
Your notebook RAM runs at 3000MHz
Your notebook supports RAM which runs at 3200MHz at 1,2V and in your ntebook will run at 3000MHz (so without XMP)
Does not support XMP which "overclocks" RAM and will take RAM which runs at 2600MHz base to 3200MHz 1,35V
Hope it helps,
David

So if I wear 3200mhz and 1.2V ram for my notebook, can I get 3200mhz speed in this case?
I’m asking this because someone in the forums said that without running the xmp feature, a ram running at 3200 mhz and 1.2 V can run at these speeds.
I’m sharing the relevant part;
”I have personally tested the following modules on my HP Omen 15 (ymmv):
HP Omen 15 - no XMP access/setting control
Kingston: HX432S20IBK2/32 ($198)
32GB 3200MHz CL20 JEDEC
CL: 20.22.22.42.74
Plug and play, no XMP required
CBr20 489 (s), 4511 (m)
GB5: 1205 (s), 8603 (m)
GSKill: F4-3200C18S-16GRS ($152)
32GB 3200MHz CL18 XMP
CL: 22.22.22.52.74
Plug and play, no XMP required
CBr20 489 (s), 4514 (m)
GB5: 1207 (s), 8730 (m)
Can also confirm Kingston HyperX worked for me”
