I ran diagnostic tests on my PC, and the battery test needed calibration. However, in my attempt to calibrate the battery manually, I couldn't find the calibrate option on the UEFI menu on startup. Is there another way I can calibrate the battery, or a workaround? (The PC's a laptop PC 15s-fq2000)

HI @Aman1066,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Battery calibration is important for ensuring your laptop’s battery meter reflects the true charge level. If you couldn’t find the calibration option in the UEFI menu, you can still manually calibrate the battery using the following method:
Manual Battery Calibration
Charge the Battery Fully
- Connect the Charger: Plug in your laptop and charge it to 100%. Make sure it reaches 100% and stays there for a while (about 1-2 hours) to ensure the battery is fully charged.
Perform a Battery Drain
- Disconnect the Charger: Once fully charged, unplug the charger.
- Use Your Laptop: Use your laptop normally to drain the battery. The goal is to let it discharge completely. It’s best to use it until it automatically shuts down due to low battery. Avoid using power-hungry applications to expedite the process if needed.
Charge Again
- Reconnect the Charger: After the laptop shuts down, plug in the charger again.
- Charge to 100%: Allow the laptop to charge to 100% without interruption. It’s best to keep it plugged in for a bit longer even after it reaches 100% to ensure it’s fully calibrated.
Restart the Laptop
- Reboot: Once the battery is fully charged, restart your laptop. This can help refresh the battery readings and calibration.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
