Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I try to find a driver for the NVMe SSD of my HP laptop 14s-fq1015ur (3B3N1EA#ACB) but without success.

The reason why I need this driver is a Windows 10 install by using a USB bootable.

During the beginning of the installation, it asks me to select a drive where I can install the OS. But a message appears and I can't continue the installation : "No signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct driver, and then click OK."

So I decided to go to the source by checking on hp.com and samsung.com for this driver. But nothing was find. It's really disappointing for me.

Does someone have an idea about this driver ? Did someone have the same problem ?

Thank you in advance for your replies 😉

Problem solved.
This solution helps: HP PCs - No drives can be found during Windows 11 or Windows 10 installation (Intel 11th Generation ...

Additionally, Sammsung NVMe Controller drivers (DriverVer=01/17/2019,3.1.0.1901) was added to the root of USB stick (i'm not sure this helps really).

You should not need a driver. Windows installer should just pick up the NVME M.2 SSD. Is this the factory M.2 SSD? If not what is the history of it?

HP Recommended

Yes, it is a factory M.2 SSD, but Windows 10 Pro x64 can't find it during installation process.
I think IRST or Samsung NVMe controller driver is needed, but HP Customer Support page do not provides any drivers by my laptop model.

I've installed Windows 10 on dozens of Intel and AMD laptops with NVME M.2 SSD and never needed a driver during installation.

Your laptop is an AMD Ryzen processor right? Are you installing in UEFI or legacy mode? Why are you reinstalling? You can get errors like this if the Windows installer thumb drive gets corrupted while it is being created. Try going to Microsoft Media Creation Tool site and make the installer usb disk again and see if that fixes the problem.

My laptop is running on AMD Ryzen 5500U processor. There is no reinstallation, just first installation of Windows because it has only Free DOS preinstalled out of a box.

So how did you get the Windows installer usb? Download it from Microsoft or is it a commercial usb stick in a retail package?

I apparently have not run into an 11th gen processor. Thanks for finding that.
