Hello eberyone! I seem to have a problem with my HP Laptop. Currently, I have 1 stick of ram (the one that came with the laptop) that is DDR3 PC3-10600S. I want to add another stick of ram that is 8gb. I tried multiple sticks:
- 2-Power 8GB DDR3L 1600MHz 1.35v SODIMM
- Kingston 4GB PC3L-12800S-11-13-B3
- Zeppelin 8GB DDR3 1600MHz 1.5v SODIMM CL11
Why aren't any of my memory sticks working? They work on other laptops. Any help is appreciated.

Hi:
It is very hard to find the right memory to work in that model series.
For one thing, an 8 GB memory chip will not work.
You are limited to 2 x 4 GB max.
DDR3/L-1600 memory will not work because it cannot go back two clock speeds to 1066 MHz.
You are limited to using this memory description:
DDR3-1333 (10600) memory. 1.5V 2Rx8, with 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.
An example:
4GB Samsung PC3-10600 (1333Mhz) 204 pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Computer Memory at Amazon.com
Find something like that, and it should work fine.
If you have any questions, post the link to a memory chip you can buy in Romania that matches the above specifications and I will take a look at it and let you know what I think.

Thank you very much for the reply! This is a ram stick that matches the description: https://www.emag.ro/memorie-laptop-zeppelin-4gb-ddr3-1333mhz-bulk-ze-sd3-4g1333/pd/D6TPY3BBM/?utm_ca...
Is it good?
