Hp notebook 14-am078na

Hi,

My original battery is no longer holding charge or even charging properly when plugged in. I am trying to find a replacement battery for my laptop but I can't seem to find any compatible ones anywhere except the hp recommended at over £40, I am hoping to find something slightly cheaper.

My current battery is 3 cells, 10.95v and 2670mAh. Does it matter if i bought a 4 cell, 14.8v battery? The label on my battery says 807956-001 so does it matter?. My model number is 14-am078na. Will I need to buy the same voltage and same cell number?

Thanks,

Zoe

Yes, it is part number of the battery, from time to time HP may release replacement part BUT HP will clearly say what is the new part (and part #). Using different part may cause unpredictable damages for your machine.  Please try:

Thanks for your response,

The link you provided has taken me to a battery which has a voltage of 14.8V, is this suitable for my current battery which is 10.95v?
