I'm currently searching for a batter replacement for my model 13t-ac000 Hp Spectre x360 laptop (ProdID: Y4P52AV). I've been searching around and I believe my battery number is "859356-855". I checked the Hp site and while they do have some parts for my model, they don't have a battery replacement in stock. Is there a way I can still order a new battery from HP either through an e-mail to a representative or simply calling them, or do I have to buy another battery off of another site? If anyone has had any likewise experiences, please let me know. Thanks.

I have the exact same model and problem. Did you have success in getting a non-HP replacement battery and installing it? My local UBreakiFix (electronics repair chain) store says only genuine HP batteries can be used, but, of course, others on forums like this say other brands work fine. I am reluctant to pull the trigger w/o being sure, but, I have a swollen battery that so far hasn't harmed the hardware, but, it must be addressed ASAP.

@Hpnewster
Yes, I just installed mine a few days ago from the recommendation the man gave me. I used the ebay link to get my battery: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/REPLACEMENT-SH03XL-BATTERY-FOR-HP-SPECTRE-X360-13-W-13-AC-11-5V-57WH-859...
You have to look at the battery number for your model. My number for my HP Spectre x360 is 859356-855. If you don't know your number, I believe you can use the hp site and go to your laptop and it will list what parts go to your laptop (battery, mouse pads, etc). Once you find your battery model, just look for a battery that is the same with your battery number and model of your laptop. For example, mine was the 13t-ac000 series so make sure to know those two things when you do your purchase.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you need help with anything else.

Thanks so much. Since HP seems to be out of stock permanently, I'm likely getting one from a laptop battery replacement site with good Trustpilot ratings (Battdepot), based on the advice of an IT pro friend.
A local place will install it for $30, and that might be worth it vs. buying the tool kit and the anxiety of trying to do it myself, especially in a house full of static and cat hair. 🙂
