The fan of my HP Pavilion 15-cs1506 has become very noisy, I removed it to clean it and when replaced I still have the same problem.

The part number for the fan is L40619 001, I can't find a replacement in the HP store or on any reputable looking websites.

The laptop is only 2 years old, but the part seems to be discontinued - do I have to get the exact same part to replace the fan, or would similar/generic fans be compatible?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks a lot for your suggestion, it doesn't look like it's the same product though

I've looked up the three part numbers you suggested, and the last one seems to be the right one, thanks so much - I hadnt checked the manual as I made the mistake of thinking the part number that's printed on the part is the correct one!
