HP Pavilion - 15-cs0052cl

I'm trying to install Windows on my new NVMe (WD Blue SN580 1TB SSD, M.2 2280, PCIe Gen3), but no luck. The NVMe SSD is visible in BIOS, but when I try with Windows installer, it doesn't show up. I tried installing Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver, several of them, but didn't help. The SSD is still missing! My Laptop: HP Pavilion Model 15-csOO52cl. Can you guys please help me on this one?

@bledis,

You can try this IRST driver. It's the latest IRST driver for Intel Core 8th gen processors and supports W10 22H2 and W11.

You need to extract RST driver files and copy them to a Windows installation usb drive created with Microsoft media creation tool (don't use an ISO file method). You can follow the steps below:

1. Download IRST driver from the link above. Run it as administrator and follow on-screen instructions to perform the driver extraction process.

2. Go to C:\SWSetup\sp144910. Double click sp144910 then 'src.' Copy the 'driver' folder to the root directory of a Windows 10 installation usb drive. The 'driver' folder contains IRST drivers which the installation setup needs to detect the storage drive.

3. Connect the usb drive to the notebook and boot the system from the usb drive. When asked where to install Windows, click on Load Driver. Click on Browse and click the usb drive in the window that opens. Click the 'driver' folder then OK.

4. Check the box to display compatible drivers only. Multiple drivers may be displayed. Select one then click Next. If this doesn't display the storage drive, use the other one.

5. If the storage drive is displayed with partitions, delete each of all the partitions only to see 'unallocated space' and click Next to proceed the installation.
