Hello, I was told when I bought my laptop that it has 2 RAM slots so I won't have to worry when I decide to upgrade it. However, today, to my surprise, the person who I asked for help in installing my newly purchased 8GB RAM (to upgrade it to 12GB since it was just 4GB before) was not able to locate the memory slot 2. He said that there's only 1 slot available. I rechecked the task manager - processes - memory, and I found that I've only used up 1 out of 2 slots available.
Any idea how I can locate the second slot? Or can someone help me confirm if there's really 2 slots for memory in my HP Pavilion 14-ce0047TX. Thank you.

Thank you for this answer. I’ve decided to just stick with the 8gb ddr4 2400mhz for my device. I’m thinking of reselling the used RAM or give it to someone who might need it. 🙂
Also, I need a clarification when I choose to purchase a solid state drive. Do I have to discard the HDD or I can just add an SSD directly? Does my device support a dual storage configuration like that of the other models that have hard drive + sdd.

You're very welcome.
I'm not quite sure how the dual storage configurations work.
I believe you will be fine if you remove the operating system from the 2.5" drive.
Otherwise, the PC will always want to boot to the 2.5" drive first, and I don't believe there is anything you can do about it.
You can try changing the boot order and have the SSD boot first, but again if it still boots from the 2.5" drive, then you will have to remove the OS.
