Good morning. Recently I've replaced the original SATA HDD with a Samsung SSD. Now I want to insert the previous HDD in place of the DVD drive, so I bought the adapter and I took off the drive. In order to install everything I need to take off from the drive the small plate that's held in place by two screws and fixed it to the PC's plastic body; then, the plate should be mounted on the adapter. I can't do this because the two screws are too tight and the material they're made is too tender, so they tend to strip under the force of a screwdriver. Could anyone tell me where I can buy a new plate with the two screws?
Thanks

Unfortunately HP only offers the whole optical drive as a replacement part not the subcomponents. Is this the piece you are asking about:
Is this it?
How bad of shape is your bracket in? Could you get by with just new screws?
