Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3 Notebook PC

Can the   HP Elitebook 840 G3   be upgraded with a 2 terabyte HDD hard disk drive by connecting it to the internal SATA connector?

Hi:

 

Your notebook should be able to support a 2 TB 2.5" mechanical or solid-state hard drive.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for the 840 G3

Since they offer M.2 and 2.5" SSD's up to 4 TB, I would have to say that a 2 TB drive would also be supported.
