Computer: HP Pavilion dv2 - 1000 series. notebook/laptop
Situation:
Screen not responding. And an external screen not working neither, and the graphics card is soldered onto the motherboard.
Proposed solution: replace the motherboard, because the graphics card can't be replaced, and they are now 60 Swiss Francs on ebay
Question:
Can the motherboard be upgraded with another, better mobo, because the standard processor is very slow. So, can I either replace the CPU without soldering, or, should I replace the entire mobo?
If yes, WOULD a BETTER motherboard also fit into the laptop?

Hey Amanda
you should search for ur model manual.
There should be a page with similar or compatible motherboard spare numbers.
Then you could search for each spare number and purchasing an other, better mb, if there is one for ur laptop.
Sincerely
Jogi
