HP Spectre x360 ap0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am wondering if the RAM can be expanded from 8gb to 16gb. I read on the service manual, and it does not say that the RAM is on board, which means that the chips are not soldered.

Hi,

It is not possible to upgrade the RAM, as it is onboard (integrated on motherboard) and there are no slots. Hereis an example of the spec page for a model in that series:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-spectre-13-ap0000-x360-convertible-pc/23238155/document/c061...

You can also see in the service manual that there are no configurations possible such as 8+4 or 8+8 ... which would be possible if there were RAM slots in the notebook.

Hope it helps,

David

@Soreslab

Its manual does not have section how to add/replace RAM, it also dos not say how many slots machines have. Looks like you can replace RAM.

Regards.
