HP 14-dq0000 Laptop PC (56Z60AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Good day all,

I was interested in upgrading the SSD to my laptop and found one on the upgrade page along with new memory as well.

When I went to install it, I could not find its place on the system board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Francis

Hi, Francis:

I do not believe that the 14-dq0xxx models that come with the 64 GB eMMC drives have M.2 SSD slots, and the drive is not upgradable.

If you look at the illustration in chapter 5, page 29 of the service manual, it shows where the M.2 SSD would go if your notebook had a M.2 slot--to the left of the battery, below the memory chips.

Your notebook would only have one memory slot.

This service teardown video seems to be for a notebook like yours with no M.2 slot and one memory slot.

Thank you Paul. That's what I feared. Looks like I'll be returning the 1Tb  replacement that was suggested by the HP web site. Someone might want to make a correction to the web site if the computer has a new  system board.
