Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can charge my phone with the usb-c cable but it's not appearing in the list of devices for storage - which makes file transfer a pain. Does this computer support the use of the USBC cable for file transfer? If not, why not? Seems a waste of a port.

There is a setting in Android which decides whether the phone's storage can be accessed and viewed from the usb-connected Windows computer. You likely have usb set to charge only.

So its not the computer its the phone.
