Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Looking at: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=EG2009TU, your HP Pavilion 15-eg2009TU according to: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-eg2009tu-, can be fitted with up to 2 x 32GB of DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks.
Most people don't need that much RAM. 2 x 8GB of DDR4 3200 MHz RAM should indeed be sufficient for most uses.
You should preferably fit two identical (brand, model, capacity) RAM modules in your laptop.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
