Can wifi adaptor be upgraded to at least wifi 5 protocol HP 350 G2?

To continue the story.......

I decided to order the Realtek RTL8821CE card via ebay, which is expected today from China.

As it's stated to be Realtek, should I assume that the existing drivers would work, thus allowing me simply to swap cards, or should I delete them and download 'fresh' drivers  from Realtek, please? (seems obvious really, but better safe than sorry!?)

Hi, Peter:

Before installing the Realtek card, uninstall both the Realtek RTL8723BE Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters in the device manager.

Also check the box to uninstall the drivers.

Shut down the PC, unplug it, remove the battery and install the Realtek card.

W10 should automatically install some drivers for the card.

However, below are the links to the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers HP has for the RTL8821CE:

Have successfully installed the Realtek card, and am pleased to report that my internet speed is much improved, by a factor of 2, although it's still only about 2/3rds of that obtained on my wife's ipad.

Hopefully this may improve over time??!!

Glad you were able to upgrade the card.

I have a HP 255 G7 notebook with the M.2 form factor version of the RTL8821CE and I have never gotten more than 120 MBPS out of it on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band.
