I been wanting to buy a new laptop and I finally have the money to buy one. I found one that caught my eye and wanted to buy. When customizing it I realized you can choose how much ram you want but with a cost. Im currently going to get that default 8gb but I wanted to know if I can add more in the future. I've look searching and found some things saying you can't and others saying that it has 2 slots.

Hi JaronSilverKing,

I regret to inform you that my answer would be no.

I've checked on Crucial's site and it says that the upgrades may need to be performed by an authorized service centre.

Furthermore, I checked your Maintenance and Service Guide here and it says that regardless of the configuration, the RAM is non-customer accessible/non-customer upgradeable.

I feel that CTO computers come with soldered onboard memory. You may want to get some clarification from an HP Expert, but from the looks of it, you're better off getting the larger memory option now.

Hope this helps,
