@Checkingitout,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can upgrade the RAM and SSD on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you planning to purchase this laptop?

The laptop you have mentioned comes with a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 16GB of RAM and you can upgrade the RAM and SSD on the computer.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Thank you very much that does help.

I have one more question if you may be able to help. The retailer lists the exact same specs on that sheet as HP. However the screen the retailer lists is IPS 4K and on HP it is AMOLED.

I called retailer and they say it's the specs as listed and have no other info (not a huge surprise).

Which specs do I go by as it's a pretty big difference in screen quality.

Price indicates it should be AMOLED but can't take an £1,800 risk!

@Checkingitout,

I don't see the link which you have shared says that it is an AMOLED display. The display is a UWVA display on the computer.

AMOLED displays are for mobile devices and usually, the laptop displays come with an OLED panel.

I hope that answers your question.

Cheers!

Thanks again for replying. In the link below it says it's AMOLED:

39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal 4K UHD, UWVA, BrightView, micro-edge, AMOLED, multitouch-enabled, edge-to-edge glass, 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3 (3840 x 2160)

In fact the Spectres are also said to have AMOLED. I don't know (or really care) about the difference I guess, lol.

But the retailer says it's an IPS display, whereas this model is stated to have AMOLED by the manufacturer. Which is very confusing. Below is the retailer link:

There might have been a mistake on the Retailer Website since the HP Product Specs says it's AMOLED 😊
