Hi , I have HP OMEN-16 xf0059AX. it is 512GB version. I wanted to upgrade the ssd. Seeing some community post that it would support until 4TB . I did buy an external ssd of 2TB. Now when I am talking to HP it says the system can only upgraded upto 2TB ( 1TB per slot). Just wanted to confirm that has any one upgraded the system above 2 TB? Need help in it.

That Service Center is not really being straightforward with you.
As long as
a) you do not damage the laptop during the process of your upgrade
and
b) In the off chance that you have to send it in for repair, you have to be able to return it with the original storage device. Otherwise your upgraded storage device will be removed and an OEM device put in it for its return to you. Your upgrade SSD will not be returned to you.
The factory warranty will still be in effect. That is the unwritten policy that I have always known of.
If you are confident enough to upgrade the SSD, you have to accept that there is always a bit of risk involved.
In reality, the chance of your having to send the laptop in for repair is quite small. Otherwise we would be hearing about it as a trend here in the forum.
Take a read of threads here in the forum to see how many thousands of owners have upgraded their laptops without any issue.
Put the screws in a cup so they don't get lost. Take digital photos as you go remove parts so you know how the bottom cover should be replaced.

The system board's chipset and BIOS support an upgrade of the SSD to a current maximum capacity of 4TB.
Whoever you were talking to probably has never upgraded a laptop.
Few people upgrade beyond 2TB because of the cost , which over time will go down. A 4TB SSD is quite a pricey item.

Even I am confused by it. I have already bought the ssd and the service center is opposing saying laptop only supports 1 TB per slot total 2TB and you cant use this. Studying the system spec even I feel It can be upgraded upto 4Tb. I was trying to upgrade it myself but they are saying if you open your laptop yourself your warranty would go void. This is so unacceptable. I am right now so confused and donno what to do.

After talking to couple of service center and hearing their no where crap logic. I did upgrade it myself. System is fine and I don't think it would cause any breach in the warranty in future if i need any repair. Thank you for replying for the post. I appreciate it mate.

Sorry to jump in here ... but what you THINK and what HP DECIDES regarding warranty coverage are completely unrelated.
I am not saying that HP would make an excuse of NOT servicing your PC because it has different equipment, but that has been the practice for a long time. And you sending something to them that has different hardware than what came with it provides them all they need to deny your warranty claim.
So, if you do have to send it in for warranty work, be sure to have only the original hardware in it.
