Hi:

 

Yes, you can upgrade the memory,

 

HP has the service manual for the older model series on your notebook model series' support page.

 

HP Laptop PC 14-dq2000 Manuals | HP® Customer Support

 

The manual indicates the model series has two memory slots that support up to 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

However, below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your specific model notebook.

 

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 14 series | HP 14-dq2055wm | Crucial IN

 

According to that report you can install up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2666 memory.

 

32 GB kit:

 

Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT2K16G4SFD8266 | Crucial.com

 

Single 8 GB chip.  Buy two for 16 GB

 

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com

 

Single 4 GB chip if you just want to add a 4 GB chip in the empty slot to have 8 GB:

 

Crucial 4GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT4G4SFS8266 | Crucial.com
