Hello, I wanted to know if there is anyway that I can charge my HP Envy with USB-C. I know that there is a port on my computer, but I have never used it. I assume that since there is a thunderbolt and a USB symbol next to the port that it can charge the computer, but I don't want to destroy the computer accidentally. Any help would be much appreciated!

This is how the port is described in the Service Manual:
USB Type-C port with HP Sleep and Charge Connects a USB device that has a Type-C connector, provides
high-speed data transfer, and even when the computer is off
charges most products such as a cell phone, camera, activity
tracker, or smartwatch.
So the symbol you see is a small bolt and means HP Sleep and Charge, which sounds good but only means it delivers a charge out. Thunderbolt is a bigger lightning bolt. Your USB-C port does not support charging the battery or delivering power into the laptop.
