Microsoft Windows 11

Hi I would appreciate some support on the following issue I'm having.

I bought the HP USB-C dock G5 and I've been trying to connect my 15s-eq2206nd laptop to it. I used another old HP model and it works just fine, but for some reason, I can't get my PC to connect to the docking station.

The computer doesn't charge and I only get the notification that something has been connected. I also get a "Display connection might be limited" notification.

Please help.

I can NOT find the specs of your machine but it is the same as the following machine (same machine on different markets)

        HP Laptop 15s-eq2226AU

It is NOT compatible with the HP USB-C G5 dock nor USB-C docks because it ONLY has One hopeless USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Other option USB-A dock) :   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05357751
