Hello,
Here is my problem:
I have an Elitebook 850 G6 on which I have to install a Linux distribution (in this case PopOS) in Dual-Boot.
For that I follow the classic procedure, I use rufus to create a bootable USB key. When I plug it on my pc and I try to boot on it I have the following error : "Selected boot image did not authenticate."
I saw that disabling Secure boot could solve this problem so that's what I wanted to do.
I go to the options then I disable the Secure boot, quit and save the changes.
The PC restarts and I type the 4 digit code to confirm the changes, and when I go back to the options I see that Secure boot is not disabled, it reactivates itself so I can't boot on my USB stick....
I've been going around in circles for a while on this problem and I would like your help! Please!
Thank you for your help.

Hello @Lilian38
Please follow instructions ...
(1) Download and install BIOS Update using current <Windows>
HP BIOS and System Firmware (R70) | 01.21.01 Rev.A | 20.3 MB | Aug 15, 2022 | Download |
Why should you install the update ?

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:
- An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
- The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
- HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.
"
(2) Reboot
(3) Let BIOS be installed until it's completely done !
(4) Download and Install/Update
HP Battery Health Manager BIOS Setting Update | 1.0.2.1 Rev.A | 0.5 MB | Nov 20, 2020 | Download |
(5) Reboot and try to disable <Secure Boot> again
(6) Please report your results

I followed the instructions and steps to update all my drivers and BIOS.
I have the same problems when I disable secure boot...
It reactivates itself on the next boot.
Thanks for your help but I need more ! :[

First, I change from the state <Legacy Support Disable and Secure Boot Enable> to <Legacy Support Disable and Secure Boot Disable>.
Then I save.
And there is the change request (I just type the 4 digit code and press enter).
After that, the computer reboot and Secure boot is back ! :[
